Ideally the desired position of the nipple is pointing forward with a slight upturned direction. The nipples are located approximately one or two centimetres before the inward slope of the breast to the rib cage.

This is a minimally invasive procedure that is uncomplicated in its nature and involves little discomfort during or after surgery. The recovery period is typically a minimum of two days full rest post operation, and at least two weeks of refraining from excessive workload.
